Hey everybody! Sorry about not posting very regularly, I will try to be better about this, but internet connection and poor service connection is kicking my butt. We just finished our first week in Guatemala! We learned all about the culture and what ministries each team will be working with! My team is actually working with two ministries while in Guatemala! The first is The Academy of Future Leaders, a school that teaches English. Their goal is to give Guatemalans another skill so they are more likely to have better job opportunities! We are there as native English speakers to be an encouragement on their journey. It is also so that they can hear what English sounds like from an American. The second ministry we are working with is called The Birdhouse Foundation. Their goal is to build houses for people in various villages, but right now their focus is on Mt. Acatenango. We will not be helping build houses, but we will be doing door to door ministry and help teach kids in the area English. I am so excited for our first full week of ministry and to see what the Lord does in these next two months!
